What is Referendum?

Referendum occurs every two academic years during the Spring semester and takes place simultaneous with Student Association Elections. During Referendum, Mandatory Student Activity Fee paying students are given the opportunity to re-approve of MANDATORY Student Activity Fees, or to change them to VOLUNTARY Student Activity Fees.

 

When and where can I vote?

The vote for Referendum 2025 will take place between March 3rd-6th, 2025.

Voting will open online upon receiving an email from the Undergraduate Student Association Elections Committee (USAEC) giving you access to your digital ballot.

 

Why is participating in Referendum important?

Referendum allows for Mandatory Student Activity Fee paying students to have a say in the funding of the Student Association.

 

What are Mandatory Student Activity Fees?

Mandatory Student Activity Fees are a semesterly $107 fee that fund the majority of the Student Association's yearly budget. These fees allow for operation of many services, clubs, organizations, and programs across Geneseo.
