Ritti Singh is the Communications Director of Housing Justice for All, a statewide coalition of grassroots tenants and homeless groups dedicated to ensuring every New Yorker from Buffalo to the Bronx has a safe and stable home. Since 2022, she has led the coalition’s communications strategies, developing messaging, maintaining a robust media presence, and building the coalition’s social media following in order to win statewide legislation such as Good Cause Eviction Protections. Though she is currently based in Brooklyn, her hometown is Rochester, where she was previously the Communications Coordinator for the City-Wide Tenant Union of Rochester.
The Sociology Department at SUNY Geneseo sharpened her critical thinking skills, gave her a deep understanding of how power flows through social structures, and helped build her analysis of systemic inequalities—all essential for her role in communications for social justice today.
