Hi! I originally came to Geneseo as an education major, but switched to sociology during my sophomore year. I’ve always known I wanted to work in geriatrics, but wasn’t really sure how I was going to make that happen. Majoring in sociology at Geneseo opened me up to a whole new worldview that I use everyday in my job now at Lifespan as a geriatric care manager! After Geneseo, I went on to get my Master’s in Social Work from SUNY Brockport, and started with the Finger Lakes Caregiver Institute at Lifespan in January of this year, where I provide supports and resources to caregivers of people living with dementia. I am certain that I wouldn’t be where I am, doing the job that I’ve always wanted, without my experiences at Geneseo and the things I learned both in and out of the classroom (mainly inside of Dr. Eisenberg’s classroom😉)
