Wendi Kinney

Wendi R Kinney serves as the chief of staff to the president at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Geneseo, where she has worked since 2001. Prior to assuming the chief of staff position in 2018, Wendi served as the associate dean of students overseeing fraternity/sorority life and off-campus student services. Wendi served as the 2019-2020 president of the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors and past president and co-founder of the SUNY Fraternity/Sorority Advisors Association. Wendi is recognized nationally as a leader in the fraternity/sorority advising profession. In 2017, Pi Kappa Phi named her an Outstanding Fraternity/Sorority Life Advisor; in 2016 National Order of Omega named her an Outstanding Professional; and in 2015 the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors honored her with the Sue Kraft Fussell Distinguished Service Award. Within SUNY, Wendi was awarded the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service in 2013. Wendi earned a bachelor’s degree in medical technology from SUNY Fredonia and a master’s degree in higher education administration from the University at Buffalo.
