Frequently Asked Questions: Pep Band

Do you have to audition for Pep Band?: No! Anyone is welcome to join!
What are the time commitments for Pep Band?: 1 hour a week for rehearsal and 1-2 games most weekends during the hockey season. Pep Band also travels to several away games per year, which are optional.
Does Pep Band do anything outside of performing?: Yes! We love playing as a broomball team! And this year we're looking to have more group bonding activities around campus suchs as movie and games nights.
What if I don’t know anything about hockey?: No need to worry! There are tons of members who will be happy to fill you in on what's going on.
Do I need to bring my own instrument?: We require that members bring their own instrument for games. But we are also open to anyone who just wants to cheer with us and have a good time so don't be afraid to join us at the hockey games!
What instruments do you need?: We have music for flute, trumpet, clarinet, saxophone (alto and tenor), trombone,baritone, french horn, and tuba. We are always in need of drummers and percussion! I mean we'll pretty much take you if you just play the kazoo...
