Three graduating  French majors selected to teach in French schools

Three graduating French majors have been selected by the Cultural Services division of the French Embassy to serve as English-language assistants in French schools under the Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF) for the 2017-18 academic year.  Colleen Burth will be working in the Bordeaux region, Nathalie Kalumbwe will be teaching near Amiens, and Kami Smith (pictured below with Professor Evans) will be going to Guadeloupe. “The Teaching Assistant Program in France offers . . .  the opportunity to work in France for 7 months, teaching English to French students of all ages. Each year, over 1,100 American citizens and permanent residents teach in public schools across all regions of metropolitan France and in the overseas departments of French such as Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique and Réunion.”  (Quoted from French Embassy website)
