Xavier Canaple '27, who is pursuing a BA in French and a BS in Chemistry, as well as a minor in the Edgar Fellows Program, has been selected in a nationwide competition to receive a prestigious Joseph W. Yedlicka Scholarship from Pi Delta Phi National French Honor Society. A member of Geneseo's Mu Iota chapter, he will study French language and culture at IAU College in Aix-en-Provence, France, in summer 2025. The award includes tuition, travel expenses, housing, and board. In addition to his academic pursuits, Xavier is an avid singer who enjoys performing traditional French and Italian art songs. He plans on a career in pharmaceutical research.
