Scholarship Options

High School students looking to become ROTC Cadets upon becoming students at SUNY Geneseo can utilize the National Scholarship page to submit a scholarship application. Eligibility for National Scholarships is based on high school grades, SAT/ACT scores, extracurriculars, and physical fitness level.

Scholarships for Existing Students

Students already attending SUNY Geneseo still have the opportunity to apply for and receive financial assistance, more information on the scholarships can be found on the National Scholarships page. Additionally, existing students should visit the RIT Army ROTC website for more information on the program. Students can also fill out the RIT ROTC Contact Us survey if interested.

Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP) Tuition Assistance 

The Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP) is an optional program where ROTC Cadets shadow a Lieutenant in a local National Guard unit. Cadets participating in this program are allotted monthly drill pay and receive full tuition assistance from the National Guard Education Services Office.
