GLOBE Procedures

The following procedures have been approved by the GLOBE committee.

Attribute Tagging Procedure - Existing Courses - Spring 2023

Curriculog will be used for the attribute tagging process.  Departments will be asked to provide evidence that the course satisfies the Senate-approved Learning Outcomes.  A copy of a course syllabus (including the relevant learning outcomes) and a brief justification of how the course meets the outcomes will be required to complete the form.  Departments are expected to participate in assessment of GLOBE learning outcomes using evidence from courses tagged for different attributes.

Humanities: AMST, BLKS, ENGL, HIST, PHIL, WGST, and all languages above 100 level

Any department that would like a course in their prefix to count as a different division of the college, and a different general education area, may present a syllabus to the GLOBE committee. The syllabus should demonstrate that the course’s learning outcomes match those of the alternative academic division and that course activities and assessments are designed to help students meet those outcomes.
