Center for Inquiry, Discovery and Development Seeks Student Ambassadors

Geneseo’s Center for Inquiry, Discovery and Development (CIDD) is accepting student applications for its 2016-17 Student Ambassadors program. Now in its fifth year, the competitive program offers selected Ambassadors $5,000 awards that support a student-designed project in independent learning and innovative results. Projects may include travel, internship, research, community service, entrepreneurship or other activities and should result in identifiable and transformative results for the individual student and the community.

Simmons to Keynote Weeklong Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration

Gwendolyn Simmons, professor of religion at the University of Florida, will deliver the keynote address Jan. 27 during Geneseo’s weeklong commemoration of Martin Luther King Jr. Her address, titled “Inconvenient Hero: Martin Luther King” begins at 7 p.m. in Alice Austin theatre and is open to the public without charge.

‘48 Live: Dancing on the Edge’ Concert Dec. 10-13

SUNY Geneseo’s Dance Ensemble will feature a wide array of student works during its “48Live: Dancing on the Edge” performance Dec. 10 - 13 in the Alice Austin Theatre.
