Research

The Departments of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics are located in Geneseo’s Integrated Sciences Building (ISC) constructed in 2006.  The Psychology department is located in very close proximity to the ISC in Bailey Hall, which underwent a complete renovation in 2014.  Facilities for all of these departments are well-equipped with a variety of up-to-date instrumentation giving students access to some of the most modern research resources available. 

Although their primary mission is teaching, many faculty members at Geneseo maintain active research programs both during the academic year and throughout the summer. Students in the neuroscience program are required to complete at least one year of independent laboratory work under the supervision of a faculty mentor.
