The LIVES Program at SUNY Geneseo offers Graduate Assistantships to highly qualified and motivated candidates who are enrolled in one of its master’s degree programs.

LIVES Graduate Assistantship Information
- Assistantships require full-time study (9 credit hours per semester) at the Master's-degree level. The assistantships are for one academic year, typically beginning in mid-August & ending in May. The recipient receives a tuition waiver for the academic year (that is, Fall & Spring semesters only) and a stipend. Compensation for tuition and fees for candidates eligible for TAP will be adjusted for any such tuition assistance award.
For more information, please see financing graduate school. - The LIVES assistantship requires candidates to work approximately twenty (20) hours per week. The work assignment is as a Co-Teacher for students with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities ages 21 and older in a classroom setting.
- Preference will be to those with teaching experience in special education and/or adolescence education.
