Lavender Graduation Celebration
Tuesday, May 14 at 4:30p.m. in the Doty Recital Hall.
Any member of the graduating class of 2024 is invited to attend the 8th Annual Lavender Graduation Celebration on Tuesday, May 14 from 4:30 - 5:30 in Doty Recital Hall. There will be refreshments to follow in Doty Lobby until 6:00pm.
The purpose of Lavender Graduation Celebration is to honor graduating seniors who are part of the LGBTQ+ community and allies who made significant contributions to our culture of belonging. If you are a graduating senior who is part of the LGBTQ+ Community and would like to be recognized at Lavender Graduation, please RSVP.
Faculty, staff, students, friends, and family are welcome to attend this event to support our students!

Even if you cannot attend, we invite you to nominate someone for the Troy Keith Student Leadership Award, Rainbow Revolutionary Distinguished Alum Award, and the LGBTQ+ Fac/Staff Leadership Award.
Sankofa Graduate Celebration
Thursday, May 16 at 2:30 p.m. in MacVittie College Union Ballroom. The event honors those who self-identify as students of color while acknowledging their resilience and perseverance toward this important milestone. Graduating seniors who self-identify as a student of color and would like to participate in the celebration should contact the Office of Multicultural Programs & Services at 585-245-5620.
School of Education Graduation Celebration
Friday, May 17 at 3:30p.m. in Wadsworth Auditorium. This event is for School of Education graduates and their families in Wadsworth Auditorium. Regalia (caps and robes) are encouraged but not required. All friends and families are welcome, no tickets required. We’ll have a short program that includes celebrating LIVES program graduates, a speaker, announcing scholarship recipients, and recognizing our SOE graduates! Please arrive before 3:30 to turn in your name card so we can recognize and celebrate you. A small reception will follow right outside of the auditorium.
Senior Sendoff Shabbat
Th Interfaith Center will host a Shabbat Shalom and Lehitraot to our Jewish graduates! The service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, May 10 at the Interfaith Center followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Graduates and their families are invited.
