Student Coalition for Migrant Workers

The Student Coalition for Migrant Workers (SCMW) serves to help create awareness of the issues involving migrant workers in the United States, specifically farmworkers in Western New York. In line with the University’s mission in, “developing socially responsible citizens with skills and values for productive lives”, it is paramount to have an organization like the Student Coalition for Migrant Workers to foster discourse in an area of social justice that has been largely unrecognized due to geographic isolation and lack of empathy towards this community.
