Geneseo 5K Race/Walk
Geneseo Knights' Fall 5K Race/Walk
Proud Part of the Geneseo Trio of Races
History
The annual Geneseo Knight's Fall 5K, formerly known as the "Friday Knight 5k," is sponsored by Geneseo Track & Field and Cross Country. Proceeds of the race benefit the SUNY Geneseo Varsity Cross Country and Track & Field teams. Any money raised is used to supplement the team’s state-funded budget to create or enhance opportunities to travel for esteemed out-of-state races that require overnight stays or extra-ordinary expenses. Recent proceeds used funded travel to the '17 USATF Outdoor National Championships in Track and Field for a Geneseo athlete who qualified to compete against professional track and field athletes and also funded travel to the Penn Relays in 2018 for an athlete to compete in against professionals in the Olympic Development Mile.
