Athletic Facilities
The SUNY Geneseo campus has many outstanding athletic facilities including the Myrtle A. Merritt Athletic Center, Carl Schrader Complex, tennis courts, the Francis Moench track, soccer/lacrosse fields, field hockey field, and softball diamond.
Merritt Athletic Center
The Myrtle A. Merritt Athletic Center contains the Ira S. Wilson Ice Arena, Louise Kuhl Gymnasium, the Alumni Pool, fitness center, and the offices of the athletic department staff.
Ira S. Wilson Ice Arena
The 2,500-capacity Wilson Ice Arena is home to the Geneseo Ice Knights hockey team. A large community following and great student support makes the Ice Knights Geneseo's fan favorite. In addition, Geneseo Finger Lakes Youth Hockey calls the arena home, using more than 30 hours of ice time on a weekly basis.
Kuhl Gymnasium
The Louise Kuhl Gymnasium is Geneseo's recreational and special event facility. With a capacity of 3,000, the facility has regularly played host to Section V volleyball and basketball championships along with all intramurals and recreational activities.
Alumni Pool
The Alumni pool houses the men's and women's swimming and diving teams. With a six-lane capacity and its own diving well, the facility is used for all home intercollegiate meets along with high school sectionals and community recreation time.
Workout Center
The Workout Center, has one large room for student and faculty use and a spin room located in the aerobics room. For a reasonable membership fee, the center provides stairmasters and treadmills, two nautilus circuits, and extensive free weights in one area with stairmasters and treadmills throughout the area.

Athletic Training Center
The athletic training department at Geneseo is comprised of three primary staff members, including one full-time ATC and two part-time ATC. The department comes equipped with ultrasound, electrical muscle stimulation, hot packs and both warm and cold whirlpools. In addition, the department has it's own rehabilitation room and a comfortable taping area.
Geneseo offers an athletic training center for student varsity athletes recovering from sports injuries. Athletes have access to the facilities located in the training center, as well as personalized recovery programs designed by Geneseo's athletic trainers.
Alumni Lounge
Geneseo's office area provides each head coach with his or her own office along with a comfortable lounge and an impressive conference room.
Schrader Gymnasium
The Carl Schrader Gymnasium is the home to the women's volleyball and men's and women's basketball teams. The gym opened for competition in the fall of 2006 and has a capacity of 1,000 spectators. In addition, the complex contains four racquetball courts, academic classrooms and a student-athlete weight training facility.
College Stadium
Geneseo's College Stadium is on the west edge of campus, adjacent to athletic facilities in Merritt Fieldhouse and Schrader Hall at left. The west field is used for club sports and club championships.
