MATH 301 – In Class Exercise #2 – Structures

In this exercise you will define all the parts of a structure given a language L and a universe A. There are infinitely many different ways to accomplish this so your structure will probably look quite different from anyone else’s.

Let L = {a, b, c, f, g, X} be a language with a, b, and c constant symbols, f a unary function  symbol, g a binary function symbol, and X a binary relation symbol. Let the set A = {1, 2, 3, 4} be the universe of an L-structure U.

Completely define  so that U is a fully known structure. Then define a variable assignment function s from Vars to A.
