This solution is way more organized and detailed than is required to get the answer.  That is just so you can easily follow what is going on without any additional narration.

The great majority of students drew the cylinder too long, extending the full length of the cylinder (or longer!).  I did not deduct points for this, as there are worse mistakes one cn make. But NOTE: The Gaussian cylinder must be much shorter than the cylindrical object.
