Exam 1: The exam covers Sections 1.1-1.5 and 2.1-2.3. It will be similar to the problem sets, including both computational and proof exercises. To practice for the exam, review the problem sets, do some extra problems from the textbook that are similar to the problems sets, and know ALL of the relevant definitions and theorems.
