Neutrons Outside Omega
Neutron trajectories from an MCNPX simulation of the Omega ICF chamber. The green sphere is an IViPP “Sphere Selector” positioned approximately at the chamber wall (no actual chamber geometry is shown). Black lines are neutron paths that pass through this selector and have been “marked” by it. Red lines are neutron paths that do not pass through the selector, i.e., neutrons produced by collisions outside the chamber.
