- Employment in the Chemistry Stockroom

The Chemistry Stockroom employs work study students to assist with daily operations and the preparation and setup of all of Chemistry's lab courses. All students are welcome in the Chemistry Stockroom and no prior science experience is needed.
This position is an academic-year appointment, so students are generally hired over the summer to begin in the Fall semester. Only occasionally will this position will be filled during the winter intersession. Applications should be submitted through Handshake, only.
- What to do if you drop/withdraw from a lab course

If you drop, withdraw from, or otherwise do not complete a lab course, you are expected to arrange a check-out of your assigned lab drawer. Simply email the Chemistry Stockroom Manager or swing by the Chemistry Stockroom during normal business hours to arrange a checkout.
Failure to make arrangements or participate in the checkout day listed in your lab course's syllabus will result in a $20 improper checkout fee, plus the cost of any missing or damaged glassware.
- Lending items to research labs or other departments

The Chemistry Stockroom is happy to lend research labs or other faculty members equipment that they may need. The lab owner or PI should be the one that contacts the Chemistry Stockroom to make the request, or should provide a student asking for materials with a note on their behalf.
The Chemistry Stockroom is not expected to provide other labs with chemicals or disposable lab materials (e.g., pipettes, cuvettes) but may do so as a courtesy if supplies are available.
