A candidates forum Oct. 25 on campus will involve many of the candidates running for office in Livingston County.
GENESEO, N.Y. – SUNY Geneseo and the Livingston County News are jointly sponsoring a forum for candidates running for office in the upcoming General Election.
The forum is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25 in Room 202 of Newton Hall and is open to the public. The moderator will be Andrew Herman, associate professor and chair of the Department of Communication.
Invited to the forum are John Gallagher, who is seeking a state Supreme Court judgeship; incumbent Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty; incumbent County Treasurer Amy Mann; Shannon Griese and Robert Waltman, both seeking county coroner positions; and incumbent Geneseo Town Justice Kathleen Houston. Already confirming participation in the forum are those seeking seats on Geneseo’s Town Board: Patti LaVigne, Ronald Maxwell, Leah Fletcher, Wesley Ebersole, Andrea Bailey and Tony Macula. Other participants will be known closer to the event.
Election Day is Nov. 7.
