About Us
Community Resource Network of Livingston County was established as a result of an agency roundtable hosted by the SUNY Geneseo Volunteer Center in 1992. With diminishing funding and a decrease in the number of volunteers, agencies wanted to support one another more than ever. The Community Resource Network was established in 1993 under the auspices of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Livingston County.
Mission:
The Community Resource Network for Livingston County provides a network to increase communication and coordination of community resources serving Livingston County residents. The network also provides educational opportunities for community resource persons in Livingston County.
Goals:
- Increase understanding and promote coordination among community groups to avoid duplication of efforts.
- Offer educational programs/professional development at the quarterly meetings.
- Provide an opportunity for discussion of issues and a means of exchange of information and ideas related to community services in Livingston County.
