Hope Youth Mentoring

HOPE Youth mentoring program is seeking 2 volunteers / interns for Spring Semester to help with the inner workings of this program. HOPE matches 6-14 year old boys and girls with mentors in a 1:1 relationship. These boys and girls are youth who could benefit from a positive role model outside of their family. They are referred to the program through Livingston County Mental Health, Department of Social Services, Livingston County Youth Bureau, the Probation Department and local school districts.

There is much flexibility within this internship. Some possible duties include meeting with potential and current mentors, interviewing referred families, planning group activities, reaching out to local agencies for donations, and creating a quarterly newsletter.

Community Service Assistant Internships

Each academic year the office of Student Volunteerism and Community Engagement hosts Community Service Assistants for ongoing projects relating to service and volunteering. The search for new CSAs begins in the Spring of each year with an application process and interview. Positions will be available in the following areas:

Livingston CARES
Social Media and Marketing
Food Security Advocates
America Reads and America Counts
Student and Community Engagement
