Spring 2013 Graduating Seniors

Olivia Derella (Head RA): Received the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence as well as the Horylev-Tesch Outstanding Senior in Psychology Award. She recently finished her Edgar Fellows Capstone thesis on the behavioral and social outcomes among maltreated children in therapeutic group homes.

Sana Shakel (Head RA): Will be attending Medical School next fall at St. George's University in for a combined MPH/MD program.

Devin McGuey: Will be attending a Master's in School Psychology program at UB in the fall.

Lauren Weisberg: Will be attending a Psy.D. program in clinical psychology this fall at Antioch University of New England.

Kelsey Quest: Will be attending the University of Minnesota for he Master’s in Educational Psychology, where she plans on pursuing her Ph.D. after two years.

Leslie Cohoon: Will be doing an accelerated nursing program at the University of Buffalo, where she will continue on to get her doctor of nursing (DNP) license. 

Sara Hirsch: Received the Women's Studies Harriet Tubman activism award as well as the World Citizenship Award in 2012. She plans on getting her masters in public health in order work with non-profits to advocate for women or work to prevent gender-based violence.

Karina Morales: Won the Community Service Award through AOP and among many of her leadership positions, she is the Student Coordinator/Advisor of Women's Leadership Institute. She will be working for a dental agency this year and plans to attend dental school in the fall of 2014.

Asha Unni: Was an active executive board member of the Psi Chi Honor Society. She will be working as a research assistant and plans on getting her Ph.D. in School Psychology.

Gabrielle Tiede: Will be working as a technical associate with the Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatrics Lab at Strong Memorial Hospital. She plans to apply to Ph.D. programs in developmental and psychopathology programs in the future.
