Theroetical Physics Research at SUNY Geneseo
At SUNY Geneseo, Dr. Savi Iyer and her students carry out theoretical physics research in the field of black holes. In particular, Iyer and her students study gravitational lensing, or the bending of light around black holes. Iyer's students get involved by performing calculations and running simulations using numerical computer programs such as Mathematica. Iyer also studies geometrical effects in general relativity.
