Parking Tickets
The purpose of regulating parking and traffic on campus is to create a safe and orderly environment for pedestrians and motor vehicles. All persons operating a motor vehicle on campus are responsible for complying with applicable parking and traffic laws, orders and regulations.
The enforcement of parking and traffic regulations is a responsibility of the SUNY Geneseo University Police Department.
Violations & Fines
Below is a list of the violations that can be incurred on the SUNY Geneseo campus based on State University parking regulations, municipal code and state traffic law. Late fees will be incurred automatically to any outstanding ticket ten business days after issuance. The cost of the late fee will match the original fine amount (ex. $25.00 fine + $25.00 late fee = $50.00 total due).

How to Pay a Ticket
Snail Mail:

- Check/money order payable to SUNY Geneseo
In Person:
- Schrader Hall, Room 19
- Open Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm
- Visa, Mastercard, Discover, cash or check/money order made payable to SUNY Geneseo
Online via AIMS Web:

- You will need to know the ticket & license plate number
- Visa or Mastercard
Appealing Tickets
Parking tickets can be appealed within five (5) business days from issuance - this excludes weekends and holidays. After the five (5) day period expires, all violation charges and/or expenses incurred become automatically due and payable. - Snail mail by submitting an Appeal Form to: Parking & Transportation, 1 College Circle, Schrader Hall Room 19, Geneseo, NY 14454
- Online by submitting the Online Appeal Form
- Please note:
- Despite what appeal form you choose, ALL fields must be completed for the appeal to be processed
- If the information on the appeal form is not legible, a decision will not be made
- If the name and mailing address are not legible, the decision will not be mailed to you
Insufficient Appeal Reasons
- Being late or in a hurry
- Dropping something or someone off or picking them up
- Preferred parking lot full or too far away
- Inclement weather
- Others parked the same way and did not receive tickets
- Flashing hazard lights or four-way lights
- The amount of time the vehicle was parked
- The owner of the vehicle was not driving at the time
- Can't afford the ticket
- I didn't know/I thought something else/nobody told me
- Parked there before and didn't receive a ticket
Appeal Decisions
- All appeal decisions are final
- Will be returned to you by email
