Undergraduate Research Conferences

In addition to conferences in your field, there are conferences specifically for undergraduate research such as:

Council Of Public Liberal Arts Colleges (COPLAC) Northeast Regional Undergraduate Research, Scholarly and Creative Activity Conference (URSCA)  Students at six Northeast COPLAC institutions have the opportunity to present the results of their undergraduate research at a regional conference where they can meet and discuss their work with peers and faculty members. Held in October, Geneseo sends approximately ten students each year.

SUNY Undergraduate Research Conference (SURC) The SUNY Undergraduate Research Conference (SURC) is a multidisciplinary spring semester event. SURC brings together undergraduate students and faculty mentors from across the SUNY system for a full day of activities, including sessions devoted to student presentations (oral, performance, artistic displays, and poster), luncheon, keynote speakers, a SUNY Graduate School and Career Fair, and professional development workshops for students and faculty. The location moves to different campuses each year.

Scholars Transforming Through Research (STR): Council on Undergraduate Research's Advocacy Program The STR Program was developed as an expanded and enhanced program to replace CUR's Posters on the Hill and REU Symposium while drawing on their successes. This program will broaden participation allowing for engagement from students at varied stages of the undergraduate research process. they will learn valuable skills in communicating the impact of their undergraduate research, scholarship, and creative inquiry experience to a variety of audience members and stakeholders. 

National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) Held in April, this gathering of young scholars welcomes presenters from all institutions of higher learning and from all corners of the academic curriculum. Through this annual conference, NCUR creates a unique environment for the celebration and promotion of undergraduate student achievement, provides models of exemplary research and scholarship, and helps to improve the state of undergraduate education.
