Noyce Scholarship

The Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program at SUNY Geneseo rewards talented science and mathematics majors who want to share their knowledge, skills, and enthusiasm in high-needs school districts as STEM teachers. To address the national need for highly qualified physics teachers, the program provides extra support for those seeking physics certification and for those interested in physics education.  Candidates can receive undergraduate scholarships of $20,000 per year.

Noyce Teacher Scholars will pledge to teach science or mathematics for two years in a high needs school district for each year of scholarship support. They will also be active members of the Noyce community while participating in the BLT (Build it, Leave it, Teach it) program in local middle and high school physics classrooms or participating in other science outreach.

Scholarship applications will be reviewed during the spring semester, and scholarships will be awarded for the fall of the third or fourth year of study.

APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR FALL 2024-25 AWARDS IS February 12, 2024
