Hippies for Hope

Hippies for Hope is a charitable organization working to further the education of students in El Castillo, Nicaragua and improve the state of mind of children in local hospitals, like Golisano Children's Hospital at Strong Memorial Hospital. Hippies for Hope aims to spread hope and smiles locally and around the world. By selling tie-dyed shirts, we are able to supply children in local hospitals a reason to smile and Gixa, a Nicaraguan nursing student, with an education, setting them on the path to a brighter future.

Donations of $10 are taken in return for a homemade, tie-dyed shirts and socks, and an additional shirt is donated to a child in need. Routine donations are made to local Childrens' Hospitals, Respite Centers, Group Homes, and community organizations. Hippies for Hope also sponsors the Nicaragua Education Fund, located in El Castillo, Nicaragua.
