The Geneseo Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce the sale of Roemer House, located at 11 Bank Street, to FLX Revival, a premier curated second-hand vintage clothing business.

Roemer House has been a part of the Foundation’s portfolio since 1997 and once served as the home for college communications until the completion of Doty Hall in 2014. Since then, the Foundation has searched for a viable and meaningful use for the property. The sale to FLX Revival presents an exciting opportunity to bring economic revitalization to the area adjacent to Geneseo’s campus.

“I am excited to know that Roemer House will be in the stewardship and care of a respected local business,” says Bob Walley ’83, chair of the Geneseo Foundation. “This move not only supports Geneseo’s local economy but also underscores both the Foundation’s and SUNY Geneseo’s commitment to the vitality of our friends in the Village of Geneseo. I am grateful to college leadership and my peers on the Foundation Board for their support in this decision.”

“I could not be more thankful for the opportunity the Foundation and its board members have given me,” says Tyler Pettinger, owner of FLX Revival.  “As the next owner and caretaker of Roemer House, I look forward to expanding my impact in the local community and providing a space for students to learn about business and marketing through our internship program, explore their emerging identity through the lens of sustainable fashion, and ultimately support them through their college experience.”

Mission StatementThe Geneseo Foundation provides financial support, leadership, and advocacy to the college community while fostering engagement to enhance the unique Geneseo experience and build an endowment for the future.
