Religious Studies
Why choose religious studies at Geneseo?
The interdisciplinary religious studies minor helps students gain a critical understanding of the role of religion in the development of human perspectives and in society. The program involves the study of religious texts, modes of thought, socio-political behavior, and Western and non-Western experiences. The minor assumes that religious phenomena can be examined according to the canons of scholarly discourse at a college supported by public funds.
