Greek Excellence Badges

The Greek Excellence Badges were created to reward Chapters on their exemplary behavior on the core areas and values of Fraternal Life. These badges represent different principles of Greek Life; Leadership, Scholarship, Service, Brotherhood and Sisterhood, Inclusivity, Academic Achievement, Civic Engagement, and Responsibility.

Badges are re-awarded every academic year and are based on the previous year’s accomplishments


Greek Community Badge (Brotherhood and Sisterhood )

This organization makes an effort to support each and every member of their organization and other Greek organizations, actively attending events, supporting each other and maintaining positive relationships within the Fraternal community.

Service Badge (Civic Engagement)

This badge is awarded to any Greek organization that has completed 100 service hours or more during the  academic year.

Leadership Excellence Badge (Leadership)

This badge is awarded to Greek organizations who have gone above and beyond as leaders on campus, in the Geneseo community or in their organization. Greek organizations are entirely student led and run. Having a smooth running organization is no easy feat and these organizations have it down!

Safe Zone Badge (Inclusivity)

These organizations have taken the extra steps and effort to be Safe Zone trained! Safe Zone members are committed to treating everyone with the dignity and respect they are entitled to as human beings, regardless of race, ethnicity, culture, gender, level of ability, national background or religion. These individuals are committed to educating themselves about oppression, heterosexism and homophobia, and to combating it on a personal level.

Academic Achievement

This badge is awarded to Chapters who maintain a combined overall GPA of 3.2 or higher.

Responsibility 

Safe party, Narcan or Title IX training above what is required by the school. Or any type of volunteer or work with these related topics.
