School of Arts and Sciences

The School of Arts and Sciences at SUNY Geneseo offers a substantive and challenging undergraduate learning experience across disciplines, including the arts, humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. 

The largest academic unit at the College, the School of Arts and Sciences houses 18 departments and a diverse slate of academic offerings. Faculty in the Arts and Sciences disciplines hold 12 of the College's 17 distinguished rank appointments and 43 Chancellor's Awards for excellence in teaching. Small average class sizes provide excellent opportunities for close, active collaboration with faculty and outstanding opportunities for undergraduate research.
