Mindful Yoga for Mental Health - weekly drop-in yoga class

All members of the campus community are invited to Mindful Yoga for Mental Health, a FREE weekly yoga class on campus! 

Mindful Yoga for Mental Health is a weekly drop-in class offered on Fridays, 12:30 to 1:30 pm.* in the Schrader Dance Studio (above UPD). It is open to ALL members of the SUNY Geneseo community, including students, faculty, and staff. We practice together to cultivate community, to support a sense of belonging, and to promote healthy wellbeing. Mindful Yoga for Mental Health is a slower yoga class focused on the mind-body connection and designed for various bodies and abilities. 

Fall classes on Fridays will run from September 6th through December 6th (no class during Thanksgiving break in November). Also available: Midday Mindfulness, a weekly drop in Zoom class Tuesdays at 12 pm.

The class is instructed by Dr. Beth Cholette (she/her), Assistant Director for Counseling Services. Beth is both a licensed clinical psychologist and a registered yoga instructor. She a number of specialized yoga certifications, including Mindful Trauma-Informed Yoga and Yoga for All. Mindful Yoga for Mental Health is sponsored by Health Promotion, Department of Student Health and Counseling. The yoga classes are held when academic classes are in session.
