Amanda Lewis-Nang'ea

I am a historian of Africa, but I also focus on environmental history and the history of science. My teaching and research sit at the intersection of these three areas of study. I focus on conservation and development in Kenya and Madagascar, and I also lead a study abroad program on Environmental History in Madagascar. My interest in mega-dams comes from my interest in development and social justice issues.
