Tell us about yourself. Where you live now, career, and/or family news. What have you been up to since you left Geneseo?
Hunter Thompson who wrote for the Rolling Stone said "Buy the ticket, take the ride.." Think that's what I've done since Geneseo. Taught HS, Middle School Social studies, elementary self contained, became elementary principal in '87 and because I had a great staff working hard to make me look good, I was named NYS Elementary Principal of the Year in '93 and NYS National Distinguished Principal in '94..went to the White House for that...Over 15 years taught at 3 colleges..7 semesters full time..taught hundreds of Canadian students preparing to be teachers..was a national faculty member for PLCs ..worked in a wide range of places...inner-city Detroit, Birmingham-Alabama, Kansas and many more...lectured at UCLA, co-author of A Quick Guide to Video Coaching on Amazon, currently am a Video Instructional Coach--check out my twitter @schoolguy for more...But at 71 orbits around the sun it is my blessing to be grandpa to James Joseph and husband to Marion !
What is the best thing about your current job?
I get to partner with rock star teachers and invite them to reflect on their practice through video and dialogue with them about where they are and where they want to go impacting learning for every student.
If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
Always nearby to my grandson, James Joseph !
If you had a warning label, what would yours say?
Prone to spontaneous discombobulation

The moments where so many have extended kindness and grace my way.
What is your favorite family tradition?
Doing our best to gather for Sunday dinner when we can...
What fashion or trend do you hope makes a comeback?
Definitely NOT the Leisure Suit !

Would rather have "Slow-Food"...

The Graduate...
What is your favorite Geneseo memory?
I spent my last semester (Spring '71) in Washington DC...as part of the SUNY Washington Semester Program. Also memories of two wonderful professors--Dr. Wayne Mahood--Social Studies Education and Dr. Ed Janosik--Chair of the Political Science Dept.
