Friday Knight Alumni Spotlight
Tell us about yourself. Where you live now, career, and/or family news. What have you been up to since you left Geneseo?
I live in Tampa, Florida. I have been here for fifteen years. I am married with one teenage daughter. We recently adopted two cats and they LOVE joining video calls. I wrapped up a rewarding career at my last company and am doing some consulting work while also enjoying the downtime.
What was your very first job?
I worked as a technician at a veterinarian's office in high school.
If you didn't have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?
Do more of the things I enjoy like read and exercise.
What is one thing on your bucket list?
Trip to New Zealand.
What would surprise most people about you?
My wife and I have been to over 50 concerts of the band Barenaked Ladies.
What is your favorite family vacation?
Road trips up the east coast to see family and friends in NY, Maine and along the way.
What is your favorite sport to watch and which team do you root for?
Favorite sport to watch is basketball and I unfortunately root for the Knicks. Hockey is right there and our family are big Lightning fans. We went to the Stanley Cup boat parade and celebration.
What is your favorite meal and why?
When my daughter and I make our version of beef stroganoff. We don't include the mushrooms.
What book(s) is currently on your nightstand?
The Overstory, the current alumni book club read.
What is your favorite Geneseo tradition?
We had a lot of fun playing late night broomball games and traying down the hill in front of Jones.
