Paul Jackson, CIO and director of Computing and Information Technology (SUNY Geneseo/Matt Burkhartt)
After a national search, Paul Jackson '87 has been named SUNY Geneseo's new chief information officer and director of Computing and Information Technology (CIT). Jackson will provide vision, leadership, and strategic management to a team of approximately 35 individuals across five distinct CIT service areas: educational technology, information systems, network & information security operations, support services, and systems & identity and access management.
Jackson has been with CIT since 2006, serving as interim CIO and director since June 2023 and previously as associate director of information systems for 17 years. Jackson received several awards at Geneseo, including the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Professional Service in 2011 and the Geneseo Levison Award of Excellence in 2019.
A Geneseo alum, Jackson went on to earn his master's in computer science at Syracuse University.
