GENESEO, N.Y. – Some 120 alumni from as far back as 1960 who sang in the Geneseo Chamber Singers will be on campus this weekend celebrating the organization’s 60th anniversary with a variety of events, culminating in a spring concert May 5 at 8 p.m. in Wadsworth Auditorium, assisted by the Alumni Choir. The concert is free and open to the public and will include works by Mendelssohn, Z. Randall Stroope and Moses Hogan.
“We have this wonderful alumni event for the Chamber Singers every five years and it’s a true pleasure having everyone back on campus to share their experiences,” said Gerard Floriano, the director of the group and chair of the Department of Music. “The alumni concert we do brings together some of the best singers who attended the College and it will be a very pleasant experience for our audience.”
