Travel Dates: Saturday, May 18 to Saturday, May 25
(As of 03/13/19, there are 3 spots available for this trip)
This service experience will engage participants in the recovery and rebuilding efforts in response to Hurricane Irma in the Fall of 2017. Volunteers will work on Big Pine Key in the homes of individuals and families that were directly impacted by the storm (over 200 houses need repairs) and will have the chance to connect with the local community to hear their stories of survival and resilience.
The trip host for this service week is the Florida United Methodists Committee on Relief (UMCOR) and their disaster response team on Big Pine Key.
