General Collection - Request via GLOCAT
 

• Items are in closed stacks and cannot be browsed. Items must be requested in advance via GLOCAT; you will receive an automated message informing you when your material is available for pickup at the Library Service Desk.
• Overdue fees are not assessed on items from the General Collection.
• Lost or damaged materials will automatically accrue a charge of $50.
  • In the event that the replacement cost of a lost or damaged item exceeds $50, Library staff reserves the right to increase this charge as necessary.
• As a teaching institution, our goal is to encourage life-long learning habits and we welcome our community members and alumni to access and use our collections. We may be unable to honor renewal requests for community members and alumni for a variety of reasons, including overdue status or holds for another user.
   

Course Reserves - Pick Up at Service Desk

• In general, course reserve materials are available for 4 hour loans.
• Renewals are not allowed on these items and patrons are limited to 2 items checked out at a time from textbooks and course reserves. Plan your study groups accordingly.  
• Overdue fees are $5/hour for course reserve items, up to a maximum of $50.
• Lost or damaged materials will automatically accrue a charge of $50. This amount is in addition to overdue fees.
  • In the event that the replacement cost of a lost or damaged item exceeds $50, Library staff reserves the right to increase this charge as necessary.

DVDs - Request via GLOCAT

• Items are in closed stacks and cannot be browsed. Items must be requested in advance via GLOCAT; you will receive an automated message informing you when your material is available for pickup at the Library Service Desk.
• Regular Loan Period: 7 days, 0 renewals.
• Lost or damaged materials will automatically accrue a charge of $50.
  • In the event that the replacement cost of a lost or damaged item exceeds $50, Library staff reserves the right to increase this charge as necessary.

Genesee Valley Historical Collection - Request via GLOCAT

• Items are in closed stacks and cannot be browsed. Items must be requested in advance via GLOCAT; you will receive an automated message informing you when your material is available for pickup at the Library Service Desk.
• Regular Loan Period: 30 days, 0 renewals.
• Some items within this collection may be restricted to In Library Use Only.
• Lost or damaged materials will automatically accrue a charge of $50.
  • In the event that the replacement cost of a lost or damaged item exceeds $50, Library staff reserves the right to increase this charge as necessary.

Teacher Education Resource Center

• Overdue fees are not assessed on items from the Historical Collection, Media Collection, or Teacher Education Resource Center (TERC).
• Lost or damaged materials will automatically accrue a charge of $50.
  • In the event that the replacement cost of a lost or damaged item exceeds $50, Library staff reserves the right to increase this charge as necessary.
• Materials have a 30 day loan period, regardless of your affiliation with SUNY Geneseo.
• Renewals are not permitted.
  
  

Calculators & Supplies

• Paper cutter, hole punch, and staplers available for use at the Service Desk. 
• TI-83s and TI-89 Titanium Calculators, rulers, and scissors can be signed out for a 4-hour period.
