Matthew Pastizzo has been a faculty member in the psychology department at SUNY Geneseo since Fall 2003. He earned his master's and doctorate in cognitive psychology at SUNY Albany with a special research focus on psychology of language. Dr. Pastizzo has enjoyed teaching statistics every year for 18 years, and has incorporated the R language for data management, visualization, and analysis into his teaching and research for over 10 years. Dr. Pastizzo recently served as the chair of the psychology department for 3 1/2 years. In addition to his own research projects, he enjoys working on a variety of projects as a data consultant.
