Welcome to Counseling Services! I’m a Graduate Trainee. I strive to provide students with mental health support and a space to work through life’s challenges together. Before coming to Geneseo, I spent a decade working in high schools and colleges as an educator, where I observed the impact mental health has on learning. I want to be a part of helping students grow outside of the classroom so they can do their best work inside the classroom.

I approach counseling with empathy, cultural humility, and a commitment to understanding how environmental factors and systems impact people and communities. I work to create a counseling space that values anti-oppression, universal design, and accessibility in order to remove barriers to students’ success and wellbeing. My goals include building connections and prioritizing community care.

When I’m not in the office, I’m walking my dog, taking night classes, or performing improvisational theater. I participated in improv festivals in NYC and led improv classes in Syracuse, NY and Scranton, PA. Improv has taught me to be adaptive, empathic, and responsive by tuning in to the needs and interests of others.
