I am a first-generation college graduate in my family. My whole working career has been some type of healthcare experience. Some roles have been in the office setting, floor nursing, charge, Community Health as a School Nurse in primary and secondary schools, along with teaching future nurses in clinicals and in the classroom. More than half my career has been working with students in some capacity.
After receiving my master’s, I did some adjunct teaching in a variety of school settings with nursing students, both LPN and RN. My educational experience, working in Adult Education, has taught me that every group of students brings its own challenges and joys. I enjoy getting to know each individual student’s goals and dreams.
My passion is spreading knowledge, being curious about things I do not know or understand and trying to make an impact no matter how small or big. Learning is a continuous, ever changing, evolving adventure that you never know where it will take you that lasts a lifetime. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and two goldens, long motorcycle rides, reading, lounging in the pool, and giving back!
