Ling Ma

I am a historian of modern China, East Asia, and the world. My research explores the entanglement of gender, law, sexuality, reproduction, and death in early 20th-century China. I am a strong believer in diversity, be it biological, cultural, or historical. At Geneseo, I offer a wide range of discussion-based courses on East Asian history, philosophy, local traditions, gender, war, family life, the individual, as well as global flows of ideas, people, and commodities.
