Equipment and Electrical Lockout/Tagout
Prior to performing maintenance or other work on equipment, any moving parts or energy source, such as electrical, thermal, or gravitational must be locked out and tagged out.
These tags are commonly used to identify the individual(s) who have placed locking devices on the equipment and the date the lockout/tagout was initiated. These tags and locking devices may only be removed by that individual or a designee.
