Physical Therapy 3+3

Why study physical therapy at Geneseo?

The 3+3 physical therapy program is an accelerated partnership program with SUNY Upstate Medical University, which allows students to earn a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree in six years, rather than the typical seven. After three years of study as a biology major at Geneseo, students transfer to Upstate for the final three years. After one year at Upstate, Geneseo awards a BA in biology; after three years at Upstate, they award a DPT.

Doctors of Physical Therapy are medical professionals that work with patients who are recuperating from injuries, illness, or surgery.  DPTs help patients to regain range of movement and manage pain.
