SUNY Geneseo’s partnership programs offer real advantages for students interested in pre-health, engineering, business, or history.
“Partnerships with area colleges allow students to complete their undergraduate and graduate degrees in shorter periods of time, which saves them money,” says Costas Solomou, vice president for enrollment management. The programs also give students a competitive advantage over other candidates when starting their careers.
Geneseo currently offers the following in partnership with other schools:
- early acceptance to dental or osteopathic school
- an accelerated master’s in history or cultural studies that counts undergraduate courses toward the graduate degree
- a 4+1 MBA program that waives introductory courses and allows completion of the master’s in a single year
- a 3+2 engineering program that earns students two undergraduate degrees, one each from Geneseo and a partner school
- pre-health programs in chiropractic, optometry, osteopathic, and physical therapy, where students earn graduate degrees in fewer years than customary
A new partnership agreement between Geneseo and Rochester Institute of Technology’s Golisano Institute for Sustainability will also enable qualified students from Geneseo to enroll in RIT’s sustainable systems master's degree program beginning this fall.
Students interested in partnership programs should contact the Office of Admissions at admissions@geneseo.edu. More information about each program can be found in Geneseo’s Academic Program Finder.
