SUNY Geneseo Calendar of Events for September 22-28
THURSDAY, SEPT. 22:
FILM: The Alan
Lutkus International Film Series presents the film "Strait Talk: Politics,
Propaganda and Perceptions Across the Florida Straits." The film examines
U.S.-Cuban relations and the effects of the U.S. embargo on the tiny island 90
miles from the southern U.S. border. The documentary will be introduced and
discussed by Canandaigua native John Locke, the film's producer and director,
local documentary filmmaker and adjunct professor. 7 p.m., Bailey Hall
Auditorium (135). Free and open to the public.
LEDERER GALLERY EXHIBIT: The Bertha V.B. Lederer Gallery in Brodie
Hall presents the SUNY Geneseo Faculty Exhibition. The gallery is open daily
from 2-4:30 p.m. and Thursdays 12-8 p.m. Free and open to the public. The
exhibit runs through Friday, Oct. 7.

SPORTS: Men's Soccer
vs. Oswego. 4 p.m., Saratoga Field. Free and open to the public.

Volleyball will be hosting SUNYAC Pool Play. Matches will be at 4 p.m., 6 p.m.
and 8 p.m. in the Kuhl Gymnasium. Admission at the door is $5 for adults; $3
for non-SUNY Geneseo students; and free for SUNY Geneseo students.

p.m. and 2 p.m. in the Kuhl Gymnasium. Admission at the door is $5 for adults;

LOCKHART GALLERY EXHIBIT: The Lockhart Gallery, located in the
McClellan House, presents the "Gerard Alonzo Sculpture Exhibition." The gallery
is open daily from 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and Fridays 11:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Free and
open to the public. The exhibit runs through Friday, Oct 14.
